The College Football Playoff National Championship Full List Of Events
Lots of intrigue in tonight's National Championship game, and the events happening in Houston as Washington takes on Michigan.
The College Football Playoff National Championship is today at NRG Stadium in Houston, as the Washington Huskies take on the Michigan Wolverines (yuck) in a battle of #1 vs #2. The game has become a complete spectacle, not unlike the Super Bowl in size. The whole day will have events and happenings (for instance, the pregame shows started an hour ago already), including several musical performances. Those will include Fantasia performing the National Anthem, and at the Allstate Championship Tailgate, which is a free event in the parking lots, Walker Hayes and Alli Walker will perform live, with ESPN live broadcasts and performances by the two teams marching bands throughout the day.
How To Watch The College Football Playoff National Championship Game
Basically, you need to have ESPN. Then, there are a bunch of options, including a cast with the team from The Pat McAfee Show, which made some noise in the last week. The National Championship Game in 2023 is where a lot of trouble for McAfee and ESPN may have started when the host and former player made a poor joke, and ESPN had to respond to some of the language and jokes used during their cast of the game. It is almost like they did no research into who they were hiring.
- TV: ESPN
- Streaming: ESPN app | Fubo (free trial)
That is the main broadcast with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit on play-by-play. On the ESPN app, there is a ton of different casting options to enjoy the College Football Playoff National Championship Game:
- ESPN: Main cast
- ESPN2: Field pass with "The Pat McAfee Show"
- ESPNU: Command Center
- ESPNEWS: Skycast
- ESPN Deportes: Spanish-language telecast
- ESPN app: Hometown radio | all-22 | marching bands
The National Championship game starts at 7:30 EST. Washington beat Texas to make the title game, going undefeated. Michigan cheated a bunch (allegedly) and had their coach suspended for most of the season, but still went undefeated and beat Alabama to make the big game. As for who will win, Washington should handle its business and win a close game on the arm of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. And then Jim Harbough can sulk away to the NFL and Michigan can be irrelevant again.
