Jonathan Majors Interview with Disney-Owned ABC News Set for Monday
Jonathan Majors sits down for an interview with ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis on ABC's Good Morning America on Monday, January 8.
Less than a month after being found guilty of the assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, the network announced that ex-MCU star Jonathan Majors is sitting down with ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis for an exclusive one-on-one interview. Shortly after the ruling came down, the Disney-owned Marvel Studios cut ties with Majors, who played Kang the Conquerer – a character who was set to play an even bigger role in the MCU moving forward. While Majors' legal team has signaled that the decision may be appealed, Marvel Studios continues to play its cards close to its chest when it comes to what it will do with the character and MCU storylines involving him moving forward. Recent rumblings on social media have Colman Domingo being considered to take over the role, though nothing has been confirmed beyond the rumor stage. In addition, some speculate that recent creative changes behind the scenes on the film side is a sign that Marvel Studios is ready to move on from the character. It will be interesting to see if Majors addresses firing when the interview airs on Good Morning America on Monday, January 8th (7-9 am EST). Majors' choice of a news outlet is an interesting one, with Disney owning both Marvel Studios and ABC News.
For those not able to watch the interview when it originally aired, the segment will also be available across additional ABC News programs and platforms – including GMA3: What You Need to Know (1 pm EST/Noon CST) and more. In addition, an extended cut of the interview will stream on ABC News Live's Prime with Linsey Davis later that day at 7 pm EST. Later in the week, ABC News Studios' IMPACT x Nightline will stream a half-hour special that will include more from the interview – including never-before-heard portions, additional/updated reporting on the story, and more (beginning Thursday, January 11th, only on Hulu).
