Legends of Tomorrow S06: Caity Lotz Grateful for Crew, COVID Team

Last week, fans of DC's Legends of Tomorrow were offered an update on how the episodes were looking for the upcoming sixth season (premiering on The CW on May 2) when the LoT Writers Room posted that production on Episode 613 "Silence of the Sonograms" was officially underway- with Nico Sachse directing, and Phil Klemmer and Morgan Faust writing. Now we get to check back in with Caity Lotz (Sara Lance aka White Canary), who posted a throwback to the crossover days. But as much as she may be missing those days, Lotz writes that she appreciates still being able to work- especially when other productions are still experiencing COVID-related delays. "We have had zero transmission on our set and I'm so grateful to our crew and COVID team for keeping our set safe," Lotz wrote.

Lisseth Chavez (Chicago P.D., The OA) joins the long-running series in the series regular role of Esperanza "Spooner" Cruz. Tough and self-sufficient, Cruz is a tech whiz when it comes to detecting space aliens and providing defenses from them. Having survived a childhood encounter with an alien, Cruz now believes she can communicate telepathically with aliens. Aliyah O'Brien (Take Two, You Me Her) has been tapped for the recurring role of fearsome warrior Kayla. Known for her high body count and low patience for human incompetence, Kayla will be put through her paces working with and against our Legends as she's certainly not used to messing anything up much less for the better.
