Otaku no Video: Animeigo Blu-Ray Debut Announced, Details Released

Otaku no Video, the OVA that spoofed 1980s anime culture in Japan and told the story of Studio GAINAX gets a US Blu-Ray release on October 8th


Anime distributor AnimEigo returns to anime's golden age in the 1980s as it announces the Blu-ray home media release on October 8th of Otaku No Video on October 8th. The classic anime OVA spoofs the life and culture of otaku as well as the history of Studio GAINAX and its creators, the now-defunct studio best known for the original TV series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The OVA also introduced the term "okaku" to US anime fans for the first time.
