Before we jump into NBC's Saturday Night Live Cold Open, a quick bit of SNL housekeeping first. After tonight's show with host Colman Domingo (Euphoria, Fear the Walking Dead) and musical guest Anitta, it looks like the long-running late-night sketch comedy and music series will be taking a break before returning in May for Season 51's final three shows. On May 2nd, Olivia Rodrigo will serve as host and musical guest. On May 9th, Matt Damon will host, with Noah Kahan as the musical guest. Finally, the season wraps on May 16th with host Will Ferrell and musical guest Paul McCartney. With that in mind, how did SNL choose to kick off what looks to be the final show in April? Earlier today, SNL UK tackled Melania Trump's surprise statement distancing herself in every way from Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Could we expect to see Chloe Fineman's Melania make an appearance, possibly crashing Donald Trump's (James Austin Johnson) and/or Pete Hegseth's (Colin Jost) press conference?

We've got Trump with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt (Ashley Padilla), dictating his recent threatening post to Iran and reassuring her that she's as safe and secure as Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem were. From there, Trump starts catching up on some calls, first to Kenan Thompson's Tiger Woods to discuss his DUI arrest. From there, we got Fineman's Melania clearing her random announcement with Trump – and even he had his doubts. From there, we've got Jost's Hegseth answering the phone (with Smash Mouth's "All-Star" as his ring tone). After dueling "WHAAAASSSSSUUUPPPP?" Hegseth runs down his plans for a draft before voicing his concerns that Trump was looking to negotiate. Not to worry, because Trump sent JD Vance – and (referring to the news that talks between the U.S. and Iran fell apart) that talks were not going well. But Hegseth was able to cheer up Trump by offering him a reason to give the press for why we're going after Iran – and they did it to the tune of Limp Bizkit's 1999 song, "Nookie" (seriously).
