Star Trek: Discovery S05E04 Trailer: Someone Has a Time Bug Problem

Forget tribbles! The crew has a SERIOUS time bug problem in this trailer for Paramount+'s Star Trek: Discovery, S05E04: "Face the Strange."

Ever since last week's edition of Wil Wheaton's (Star Trek: The Next Generation) The Ready Room brought us a sneak preview for this week's episode of Star Trek: Discovery, S05E04: "Face the Strange" (directed by Lee Rose and written by Sean Cochran), we've been getting bits & pieces about what the episode could involve. Well, thanks the the release of the official episode trailer earlier today, we know that Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), Rayner (Callum Keith Rennie), and the crew have a serious "time bug" problem on their hands – and those critters are showing them a future they're not going to like…

In the clip above, Adira (Blu del Barrio) realizes that they're not exactly alone during what was supposed to be a private moment… we'll just leave it at that. Following that, we have preview images for the next chapter to pass along – both focusing on Eve Harlow's Moll and Elias Toufexis' L'ak, in the middle of what looks to be some kind of transaction. Here's the official logline for the episode: "On the way to the next clue, the U.S.S. Discovery is sabotaged by a mysterious weapon, leaving Captain Burnham, Rayner, and Stamets as the only crew members who can possibly save the ship in time."

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Previews & Overviews

Set to hit screens in April 2024, the fifth and final season of Paramount+'s Star Trek: Discovery will find Captain Burnham (Martin-Green) and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well … dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it. The cast for the fifth season includes Sonequa Martin-Green (Captain Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland "Book" Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira) and Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). Joining the cast for the final season are Elias Toufexis as L'ak and Eve Harlow as Malinne Ravel. Paramount+'s Star Trek: Discovery is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.
