The Wheel of Time Star Rosamund Pike: "We Are All So Happy to Be Back"
With "The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime Book Club" closing up shop two weeks ago, we had convinced ourselves that our Wednesdays would be lacking in casting news and production updates moving forward. Thankfully, series star Rosamund Pike understood our pain and had a few things to share about the streaming service's upcoming adaptation of Robert Jordan's literary world. Speaking with Collider to promote her new film I Care a Lot, Pike explained that at the time of the interview production had resumed and they wrapped a week's worth of work. From there, she went on to discuss the new COVID protocols that are in place, what it's like social-distancing on a set with 500+ people, and how much everyone associated with the series "are all so happy to be back."

Uta Briesewitz (Westworld) is set to direct the first two episodes. Isis Mussenden is attached to the project at costume designer, with Karen E. Goulekas serving as the visual effects supervisor.
