"Two Weeks To Live" Puts Maisie Williams on the Run
Maisie Williams is set to hang up her Needle and grab a bundle of cash in the Sky Original comedy series Two Weeks To Live.
Two Weeks To Live has Williams playing Kim Noakes, a country girl who finds herself in trouble with the locals more often than not. She's pretty fond of pulling pranks, and one of them goes horribly wrong, and Kim finds herself on the run from a gangster with murderous intent, and a bunch of police. Worse yet, she finds herself in possession of a big bag of cash- stolen cash.
Kim is a survivor, though, and learned how to take care of herself when she was growing up. She might just survive the experience!
Two Weeks To Live was written by Gaby Hull, and will be a six-part series for Sky One. Shooting for Two Weeks to Live will begin later this year. No other cast has been announced.
Williams is excited to take on the role: "Looking forward to getting into something new, I think Two Weeks To Live has really great potential and I want to make something incredible with this wonderful team!"
Sky's Director of Comedy, Jon Montague, added, "With Maisie Williams leading from the front, Two Weeks To Live is to die for. Bold, British and very, very original, we can't wait to wow audiences with even more great comedy".
Maisie Williams may be only 22 years old, but she's already had an amazing career, with the mega-successful Game of Thrones behind her, and extended parts in Doctor Who. She's also been featured in The Falling in 2014, as well as iBoy in 2017; Early Man in 2018; and Then Came You in 2019. She also contributed her voice to the animated mecha mayhem series gen:LOCK for Rooster Teeth.
This is looking like a pretty great year for Sky, with upcoming Originals including Catherine The Great with Helen Mirren; Code 404 with Daniel Mays and Stephen Graham; Intelligence with David Schwimmer; a new season of In the Long Run with Idris Elba, and Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins' first scripted comedy series, Breeders.
