Warren Ellis' "Project Katra": New TV Show Announcement Set for Wednesday

Do you all read Warren Ellis' newsletter? You should. Broadcaster, writer of comics and novels, screenwriter for Castlevania and much more, back in September 2018, he posted;

  • Another tv-related project got greenlit – you won't hear anything more about this for like eighteen months, but we're going to call it PROJECT KATRA for now.

Well, it seems like things have stepped up since. Between then and now, he wrote,

  • I believe I am set to begin the season outline phase on the next thing, which is PROJECT KATRA, the day after, bringing that in sometimes mid-July.
  •  I've spent all this week on TV thing PROJECT KATRA
  • I am just wrapping issue 16 of INJECTION, which won't be out until next year, because I want Monday clear for a notes call on PROJECT KATRA, which won't even be announced until next year.

He was wrong.

  • rewrote and filed full outline for tv PROJECT KATRA.
  • GRAVE is on deck and the starter pistol has been fired for unannounced tv thing PROJECT KATRA.
  • the writing schedule for PROJECT KATRA is just printed off and taped to the wall over the big whiteboard.  It's a television project that just received its official commencement and I'll be on it as sole writer until the end of June. Friday night I was talking to the press person, so I'm guessing that announcement pops shortly.

He was right.

  • Announcement on PROJECT KATRA is imminent, I'm told, and I'll get the first draft of the release to look over next week.
  •  Look, sitting on the wall over my big screen here in the office are three whiteboards, a marked-up calendar and a printed sheet with my production schedule for PROJECT KATRA.

And this weekend, he told us;

PROJECT KATRA gets announced on Wednesday, I'm told. I have a script for it in front of me that I need to land by November 1.

Wednesday. Watch the wires…
