WWE Raw Report 6/15/2020 Part 2: Challenges Made, Challenges Accepted

In the first part of our WWE Monday Night Raw recap, Randy Orton challenged Christian to an unsanctioned match, Bobby Lashley challenged Lana to a divorce, and the Viking Profits teamed up with the Big Show to fight ninjas. If that sounds like your cup of tea, and look, we're not judging, read that recap here. Now let's slog through the second hour of Raw.

Charly Caruso talks to Seth Rollins backstage, wondering about what Seth things of Dominic Mysterio coming to Raw tonight. Rollins says no one has seen Dominic, but Rollins can sense his presence. Rollins is heading to the ring to deliver a message to Dominic and Rey Mysterio, which is the cue for some commercials.

After commercials, Tom Phillips feels we need to be reminded about what we just watched an hour ago. Randy Orton wants an unsanctioned match with Christian, but Christian has to accept tonight or the offer expires. Christian is on the phone with someone backstage contemplating the decision.

Rollins comes to the ring. He says he invited Rey Mysterio to Raw this week to have a peaceful conversation. Rey Mysterio is a hero who sacrificed himself for the greater good of the future of Monday Night Raw. But Rey declined Rollins' invitation like a coward. However, Dominic is here.

Rey Mysterio appears on the Titantron. He warns Rollins not to hurt his son. Rollins is insulted. He only wants to help Dominic. Rollins wants Rey to help him help Dominic by encouraging him to join Rollins' apostles. Rey is so outraged, he answers in Spanish. Rollins says Austin Theory and Buddy Murphy are looking for Dominic right now and Rollins is going to sacrifice him. Mysterio says he'll end Rollins if he or his goons touch Rey's son.

Rollins says Dominic is an adult and can make his own choices. He can stand with Rollins or become a sacrifice just like Rey. As Rollins is kneeling in the ring, Dominic attacks him from behind. Dominic has time to toss Rollins into the stairs when Murphy and Theory attack. Dominic manages to escape through the crowd. Rey looks like he doesn't know whether to be proud or relieved.

Backstage, R-Truth approaches MVP and Bobby Lashley. Truth wants to give his "condominiums" to Lashley. MVP asks if he means "condolences." Truth says no. Truth says the divorce is a "raw deal." Lashley doesn't think it's funny and asks if Truth can back up his words. Truth says sure, he's got Drew McIntrye to back him up. Lashley says he's not here right now. Truth runs away. Raw runs away to commercials.

After commercials, MVP and Lashley are searching for Truth near a training ring in the performance center. R-Truth is under the ring, but he climbs out, yelling about ninjas. MVP and Lashley don't get their hands on him though because McIntyre shows up. MVP says McIntyre needs to give Lashley another shot. McIntyre says he turned down an offer to be managed by MVP because he's full of crap. MVP wants McIntyre to put the title on the line during the tag team match tonight. Truth accepts. McIntyre is reluctant, but he's goaded into agreeing. This seems like a really bad idea. Truth says by the end of the night, he can be the new Becky 2-Belts. Drew says that's not how it works. Is he sure? Doesn't anyone know how the rules work around here anymore?

Liv Morgan and Natalya head to the ring for a match with the Iiconics. Get ready for a five-star classic, folks. This match is too incredible to adequately describe with mere words, so I won't even try. The Iiconics get the win here but suffice to say both teams looked great.

After the match, the Iiconics call out Sasha Banks and Bayley. They say they only lost last night at Backlash because it was a triple threat match. They challenge Sasha and Bayley to a two-on-two match for the Tag Team Championships right now. Bayley and Sasha don't respond, so the Iiconics call them cowards. They're gonna make sure this match is made for next week, and when they win, it will be Iiconic.

Backstage, Big Show visits with Christian. Show says that Orton didn't challenge Christian to an unsanctioned match because he can't be cleared to compete. He did it so he can inflict even more violence on him. Show says he hasn't seen Orton this sadistic in a long time. Christian can step away from this situation, or he can go into the ring and shut Randy's mouth. The latter is what Show would do. Christian says he knows what he has to do. And what he has to do is… go to commercials.

When we get back, Natalya is berating Liv Morgan for their loss. She understands why Ruby Riott let Liv go. Natalya says all the other women in WWE are ingrates. Lana comes out of the shadows and says she's got it even worse. She put everything into Lashley and all she got was a divorce. Natalya knows exactly how she feels.

Charly Caruso interviews Christian on the stage. Christian says he's proud of his WWE career and has nothing to prove to Randy Orton, but he's not gonna be disrespected. Christian takes off his coat. He accepts the match. Meanwhile, in Arizona, Daniel Bryan is thinking, "wait, that's all I had to do?"

MVP approaches Apollo Crews backstage. He thinks Crews isn't being smart with his US Championship open challenge. He thinks Crews needs to think about fighting the right person at the right time for the right amount of money. Taking on everyone can lead to burnout. MVP thinks he can help Crews navigate the decision-making process needed to remain champ. Crews says if he's not a fighting champ, he's not a champ at all. He declines the offer. MVP says Crews can't keep the championship without MVP in his corner. Time for more commercials.

Raw comes back to Ric Flair backstage with Charlotte. Ric wants to know what's next for Charlotte. Who does she want to fight next. Who gets under her skin? Charlotte says lots of people get under her skin. She gives him a wooo.

Apollo Crews comes out to fight Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin says he'll be a fighting champion too, but since he only appears on Raw roughly once every three months, it'll be a much easier schedule. It's a pretty even match, but Benjamin tries to steal a pin by putting his feet on the ropes. The ref catches him, and Crews rolls Benjamin up and uses the ropes himself to get the three-count. Benjamin is outraged, but Crews is laughing as he leaves with the belt.

Backstage, Akira Tozawa and his ninjas approach R-Truth. One of the ninjas is dressed in a referred outfit. Truth gets into Crane Kick position. Tozawa and the ninjas leave when Drew McIntyre shows up. Drew pleads with Truth to understand the gravity of their situation. Both of them could lose their titles tonight. Truth says he understands and knows what to do. It's time for commercials again.

When Raw comes back, we get a recap of recent events for Asuka since she was given the title by Becky Lynch. Backstage, Charly interviews Asuka. She wants to know if Nia Jax is too dominating for Asuka to handle. Asuka says Jax started this fight and Asuka will finish it.

Drew McIntyre is looking worried backstage. R-Truth tells him he talked to the powers that be and fixed things. Only the WWE Championship will be on the line tonight, not the 24/7 Championship. McIntyre is really not happy about this. Truth asks Drew to believe in him. He needs someone to believe in him. He says he's lost his 24/7 Championship lots of times so he knows what it's like to lose a championship. He's not going to let Drew down.

He's definitely going to let Drew down. Raw goes to commercials, and to hour three, so it's time for me to hand this labor of love over to my editors and move on to part three. See you there!
