Back in Invincible Iron Man a few months ago, Brian Bendis wrote us an Iron Man meeting Mary Jane without remembering her. Or Peter Parker.

 

5068786-invim2015007_int2-2Despite them all living in the Avengers Mansion together during the Civil War storyline ten years ago. Well in today's Amazing Spider-Man, Dan Slott underlines the ridiculousness of it all.

So what is this down to?

When Peter Parker got Doctor Strange to remove the knowledge that people know who Spider-Man is, and it all got caught up in that?

 

 

Or that Tony Stark doesn't personally remember the events of the Civil War after he got his brain erased and backed up from a pre-Civil War version?

Or he is just an arrogant forgetful blowhard?

And was Mary Jane really just too polite to say anything all this time?
