Conan O'Brien Goes All In On His Takeover Of San Diego Comic Con
Every few years there is something new at San Diego Comic Con that gets people super excited. Last year it was Conan O'Brien doing his TBS show live as part of the Comic Con experience and his professing his absolute love for Funko Pop!, which I understand as I am also a Funko Funatic. But this year Conan and his team from TBS have decided to take the next step and have a booth on the exhibit floor that invites fans to take part of an interactive experience.
Fans have an opportunity to step into a closet sized room and be scanned by an alien from the new TBS series People of Earth , starring Wyatt Cenac, who determines if they are special or not, and they are warned before entering not to be weird. Depending what the scan results are determines what t-shirt you will get. Oh yeah, free t-shirt.
Fans will also have a chance to don a Funko Pop! Conan O'Brien head and take part in a virtual reality experience where they can either visit Conan's stage or office and have a chance to interact with all four Conan O'Brien Funko Pops! that those lucky enough to attend one of the live shows will receive.
But wait, that's not all. All fans, upon completing the experience, will have a chance to win that day's exclusive Conan Funko Pop! Even if you don't win there are other items being given away. I received a poster of the day's Conan Superman Pop!, and the pin that can be seen above. So if you are at SDCC, make sure you visit the Conan booth, and if not then watch his show each night during Comic-Con so you can get a little feel for what San Diego Comic-Con is really like, just without the smells and the never ending supply of people who want to introduce their elbow to your kidneys.
