'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams' Trailer Highlights Sci-Fi Anthology Series
Looks like 2017 is shaping-up to be a pretty good year for late author Philip K. Dick: Blade Runner 2049 will bring attention back to the original Blade Runner's literary source material, Dick's Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?; and Amazon's hugely successful adaptation of The Man in the High Castle was recently renewed for a third season. Add Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams to that list, as the first trailer for Amazon's ten-episode anthology series was released over the past weekend.

Co-produced by the streaming service and the UK's Channel 4, Electric Dreams is being promoted as a series of "unprecedented scale;" and lists Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and Michael Dinner (Justified) as executive producers on the project. Cranston will also star in one of the episodes, with the series boasting Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures), Anna Paquin (True Blood), and Terrance Howard (Wayward Pines) as also appearing during the season. Electric Dreams will mine ten of the author's 121 short stories for the first season, and will first air on Channel 4 in late 2017 before debuting in the US through Amazon and also in Australia through streaming service Stan.
