Someone Sent a Dice Teaser to Game Journalists for The Game Awards

A number of us in gaming journalism got an interesting package in the mail today, hinting at another reveal at The Game Awards. If you look on Twitter today, you'll see several writers received this pair of orange fuzzy dice, as I did this morning. There's nothing special or remarkable about them other than one of the dice is missing all of the numbers except for the 6-side, and they came with this simple note about The Game Awards.

Someone Sent a Dice Teaser to Game Journalists for The Game Awards

The biggest speculation going around, which doesn't have a ton of info going for it, is that people believe this is a hint that we're getting a new CTR: Crash Team Racing. But beyond the idea that they're fuzzy dice you hang in a car and that they're orange, there's not much else to indicate this would be correct. And no one seems to have an idea what the missing numbers could mean. Our best guess is that it's a release date, and when you total the numbers up you get 6/21, to make June 21st. But again, it's all guesswork right now. We won't know for sure until we tune into The Game Awards on Thursday, December 6th.
