'The Masked Singer' Finale: The Final Masks Are Lifted! Were We Right? [SPOILER REVIEW]

The end is always bittersweet. We've had fun guessing the possible singing celebrities and critiquing their vocal prowess over the past several weeks. Although most of the contestants were predictable after deducing the clues, we still enjoyed some surprises. Viewers didn't realize how much they needed a show like FOX's The Masked Singer until it premiered and captured the hearts of an American audience longing for whimsical escapism.

Leigh Kade and I have had a blast discussing every episode, swapping celeb theories, and judging the judges. Alas, we dive into this pool of contestants for one last time. Expect a bit of gloating, a touch of surprise and a whole lot of cheeky banter. Here we go!

The Performances!

Leigh: Considering who I think this is, and I know I'm right… this is just a good time for him. He's been at this for almost as long as Bee. Nice take on  Shake A Tail Feather", too!

Tiffany: This was the perfect song choice for Peacock to strut his stuff to one last time! He's been having fun with this show from the start. It's not my favorite vocal performance of his, but it is definitely apropos for the finale.

Leigh: I KNOW YOU'RE GLADYS KNIGHT, BEE! I called this the first time she took the stage. It's so great seeing her on stage, she's an absolute legend!

Tiffany: Queen Bee continues to reign supreme! She has been amazing to watch this season. Gladys has moved me with every performance and I love her take on every song. Goosebumps every time!

Monster

Leigh: I'm still not 100% on Monster, but that's a great cover of  "This Is How We Do It."

Tiffany: Aww yeah, Monster knows how to get a groove on. We've been the most stumped with him for good reason. I think he's been everyone's favorite from the beginning. Keeping us guessing and entertained!

The Reveals!

Bee

Leigh: Gladys Freaking Knight. She's so classy, so amazing. Everyone who watched this show needs to listen to some Gladys right. Now. What a gift to have her on this goofy, goofy show.

Tiffany: How the hell did Gladys Knight end up in third place?!? Who decided? They didn't show the crowd poll like usual, so I wonder if the producers called this one. Still, Keenan Thompson's reaction is priceless and he called it from the first second he heard her sing. I can't believe The Masked Singer landed a legend like Gladys Knight. Setting the bar high for Season 2!

Peacock

Leigh: Hahahahaha! Called it, Donny Osmond! I wasn't sure for the first few episodes he was on, I got too hung up on that Michael Jackson clue. But last week's "Soldiers of Affection" cinched it for me. He's having a blast. Good on you, Donny!

Tiffany: I must confess, I thought Donny was going to win it because he's going to be on The Talk tomorrow LOL Teaches me not to make assumptions. As I said, this wasn't his best performance. Coming in second place is fair. I can't believe he was still doing his Vegas show during all of this. Wow!

And The Winner Is…

Monster

Leigh: I honestly didn't have a clue. I almost thought Monster could be Joey Fatone.

Tiffany: LOL! Yeah, I did some research to narrow down possible celebs for Monster. We did guess T-Pain or Wayne Brady. After this, Mr. Pain should release an R&B album! Also, they should hit Brady up for next season.

Although I'm surprised by the result, I'm happy Monster won. He stole our hearts every week.

Leigh: He earned it! Great performance!

Leigh: I really had no idea this would be so much fun. This seemed like such a goofy concept (it was) that I thought they couldn't pull it off (they did). Having the opportunity to hone detective skills with you was a blast, Tiffany! I can't wait until next week!

Tiffany: Ditto! I tuned in out of curiosity and thought it would be like watching a bad train wreck. It ended up being fantastic! I'm so excited to see what's next. Wish we had another episode to chat about next week.

Leigh: I'll be in my trailer. Sobbing.

Tiffany: Sigh. I'm going to miss this. Let's hope Season 2 isn't too far along!
