Return of the 4-Day Badge For New York Comic Con [NYCC] in 2019
New York Comic Con will be making some changes for 2019. In a remarkably welcome PR move, they've chosen to announce these changes NOT in the middle of another big show like ECCC, C2E2 or WonderCon. Nice one ReedPOP PR team, more of this kind of thing please.
Running from October the 3rd to the 7th 2019, NYCC states that tickets to the show are now fully refundable and exchangeable through ReedPOP's approved reselling platform, Lyte, which will help curtail ticket touting.
Fan Verification accounts are only required for those purchasing badges during their general sale, rather than for every person getting a ticket. So you don't have to make an account for your kid – or your parent – or your partner; just yours will do.
However individual accounts will be needed for their Pre-Sale purchases, and by creating a Fan Verification account, you will have access to lotteries, exclusives and more as an incentive.
NYCC are also adding limited reserved seating through a lottery to the Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center, and the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, as well as the Main Stage. You'll need a Fan Verification account to take part in that lottery.
Only the Main Stage will be cleared after panels; the reserved seating to the Hammerstein Ballroom at the and the Hulu Theater will also be cleared between events.
They are also bringing back the 4-Day badges for pre-sale, with a discount for those who buy all four days. That change in previous years where people had to try and get all individual days separately at full price was rather unpopular…
Still no 3-Day Tickets though. Maybe another year?
Response has been pretty positive…
How happy does it make you?
