The Microsoft Store Lists Dead Island 2 Before E3 2019

Well, if this isn't the greatest hint that we're going to be seeing something from Dead Island 2 during E3 2019, I don't know what is. Being developed by Sumo Digital and published by Deep Silver, we haven't seen or heard much about this game since it went into development. All we truly knew was that it would eventually come out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But today players discovered this listing on the Microsoft Store showing off the game's main artwork with the generic release date of December 31st, 2019.

Up until now, Dead Island 2 was basically the hot potato of the gaming industry. For the past few years it sounds like it's been on the cusp of being stable and ready to get a release, but then gets thrown back into development hell as someone new picks up the reigns or sells it off to a new developer. THQ Nordic was the last to secure the game but have been pretty quiet about it since handing it over to subsidiaries to make it happen. Now it looks like we'll both see some news about it next week and maybe even get a release of the game sometime this year. Unless, you know, they decide to sell it again.
