The Fantastic Four Aren't Ready for Doctor Doom [Funko Review]

The third part of our ongoing a Fantastic Four Funko Pop review and we are heading back to Earth. We have already seen the Four Family, we've traveled to the cosmos, and now we return home. In this review, there are three characters who will be looking at the Fantastic Four's faithful Robot opinion H.E.R.B.I.E, their first villain Mole Man and finally their greatest nemesis Dr. Doom.

There are 14 Funko Pop Fantastic Four figures that have been released. Three are retailer exclusives and one is a specialty series that can be found at local comic shops. We do have two of the retailer exclusives in our possession, as well as all of the common, releases. We have split our Fantastic Four review into FOUR parts, the first one is The Family, the second is Cosmic Beings, third is Earth, and the last one we have is Exclusives. This way you can look at the figures you want with that being lost with all of the releases in this wave.

The first stop is the Fantastic Four's robot H.E.R.B.I.E. This robot was originally created to help search for Galactus but after that comic book arc, he stayed on the series and is a valued member of the team. This is a pretty awesome and your unique character to throw in the first wave and is a nod to comic book fans. Nothing is really special about his box like the rest and it does have the FF logo as a backdrop inside the packaging which is a nice touch.

The Funko Pop itself is pretty small but packed with detail. His big head lightens up the room as his bright yellow eyes stare at you. He does have an attached display stand on him that shows him dying off the ground. His front does have electronic parts and that gives them character. This is a nice little addition for any Fantastic Four fan and comic fans will be happy that their faithful H.E.R.B.I.E made the cut.

Now we are moving under Earth's surface as we go against the Fantastic Four hours first villain the Mole Man. I'm not surprised the Mole Man made the cut in the first wave of their Funko Pop debut. Nothing is really special about his box and it's just like the rest of the wave.

I was kind of hesitant to buy this one but when I opened him up I was glad I made the purchase. This Funko Pop is very nicely detailed and designed. They put a lot of detail on his face from his smirk to the wrinkles on his forehead. The hair is nicely done and his outfit is just right. They gave him a wooden bow staff which he is seen with him in the comics. The color of his skin and the greens of his costume easily compliment each other and it is a nice figure all around. The Mole Man Funko a must-own for any true Fantastic Four fan to add to their Marvel collection.

Our last Fantastic Four character is none other than their arch-rival and nemesis Doctor Doom. This was a Funko Pop a lot of fans are excited to see again. One was released back in 2013, but now we get a newly remastered and updated version. Nothing is really special about his box and I do kind of wish there was some sort difference on the box.

The Doctor Doom Funko Pop vinyl is very well detailed and does right by this Fantastic Four character. Doctor Doom is one of my favorite Marvel super villains and I was glad to be able to add him to my collection. His outfit is very well-designed and his mask is pretty spot on to the comics. You can definitely tell that Funko has changed up their game with so many dynamic poses that these new molds are put in. If you missed the release of the first Doctor Doom that came out this is an amazing close second. This is easily a must-have figure for anyone trying to complete the Fantastic Four set.

Bow before Doom.

The Fantastic Four Funko Pops are currently in stores and you can still find them online in a located here. I would suggest GameStops would be one of your best bets to find them but a lot of stores were only getting in one per store. However, they could have restocked since then. To save you the time you can pre-order them all here. With such a massive release I hope we can see more Fantastic Four characters come in the future like maybe Doom 2099 and other supporting FF villains. Who knows what will be on the horizon next for our favorite Fantastic Four heroes and villains from Funko.
