Rian Johnson [Possibly] Ruins Mystery Movies in a "Knives Out" Scene Breakdown

Knives Out was one of the best movies of 2019 and netted a bunch of awards nominations and success for director Rian Johnson. The movie was a big enough hit that Lionsgate has decided to greenlight a sequel. Vanity Fair has given Johnson the chance to breakdown once the scenes from the movie in their ongoing series of a director breaking down a scene and the video is really interesting. It's over twenty minutes long and in the process of the video, Johnson reveals some information that might make secret harder to keep in future movies.

It turns out that Apple has a thing where you aren't allowed to show a villain using an apple product. In the scene that Johnson is breaking down, he shows that Jamie Lee Curtis is using an iPhone thus giving a visual cue that she isn't the villain. In a movie like Knives Out where everyone is suspect that kind of information could break the immersion quite a bit.
