Booster Gold, aka Michael Jon Carter, is a unique superhero who arrived from the future of DC Comics. Created by Dan Jurgens, he first appeared in DC Comic Booster Gold #1 back in 1986. Carter was a former college football star nicknamed "Booster" from the 25th century. However, after a gambling scandal, his life fell apart, and he seemed redeemed by becoming a security guard at the Metropolis Space Museum. This redemption took a twist as he stole advanced technology from a museum, traveled back in time to the present day, and chose to become a superhero.
Booster Gold has now aimed to see fame and fortune once more at McFarlane Toys with a brand new action figure. Things are getting a little retro as Booster Gold joins the DC Comics Super Powers line. He will get his very own card back, as well as 5 points of articulation and a retro-styled design. He will pair well with McFarlane's Blue Beetle Super Powers figure and is priced at $9.99. Pre-orders are live on Amazon and other Fan Channel sites with an August 2024 release date.
