A Comic Show – Harley Quinn Is The New Deadpool

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida writes;

Hey Fandom! I'm back with a fat stack of new comics now! I cover Harley Quinn, Zero Year, Forever Evil, Longshot, Superior Spidey, Fables, Nowhere Men, Zero, Wake, Afterlife with Archie, and lots more.

First up, Harley is the new Deadpool. DC's Deadpool, there I said it. She breaks the 4th wall all over the place, and I'm okay with it. This zero issue was really something special for Harley fans and comic art loves. Zero Year filled in some Red Hood holes, and Batwoman's fill-in issue was good (really). Forever Evil tie-ins aren't necessary, but I did enjoy them and am excited about Blight.

Marvel gave us more Cataclysm, and this Ultimates issue made if feel like the end is near. Superior Spider-man's annual showed us how a real scientist deals with the supernatural. Longshot's remade the Marvel Universe, Welcome to the House of L!

Some great creator owned books shipped this week too. Sex Criminals continued to innovate. The Wake act one concluded and I can't wait until February's #6. Also, Ales Kot rocks my world. Zero #3 was another perfect single issue story that also challenges the reader and build towards a greater narrative. Fairest in the Land is in the vein of my favorite Fables book, 1001 Nights of Snowfall. And, The Fifth Beatle is an untold tale any Beatles fan would enjoy.
