Joshua Crowther writes,
In every superhero comic there's a primary super villain. Generally he/she has some sort of evil plot: world domination using some super weapon, portals to alternate dimensions, or something involving magical ancient relics, etc. Luckily the protagonist beats him in a fist fight, and his plans are foiled, thus concluding the plot.
But what if there was never a super villain? Can a singular super powered individual save the world from the real world travesties we see on the news, war, poverty, and starvation? Super is a mini-series that explores that idea.
Super is indisputably the best comic I have ever made. It's also the only comic I have ever made. Personally, I think it's awesome, but as the writer I could be a little biased. If you don't want to take my word, you can read the first issue for just $1 on our Kickstarter.
Super stands out because it breaks clichés that have dominated the super hero genre for decades. It takes the familiar and makes it fresh again. The artwork is also fantastic, but that's really thanks to Bruno. If I drew it, there would be a lot more stick figures. Luckily you don't have to deal with that.
Working on this project has been amazing! Super exists purely because of the power of the internet. It took me years to realize, but apparently there are other things besides girls in risqué clothing on it. Everyone that works on Super I met purely through searching through online forums. Using the power of the internet, you can also do amazing things, such as keep this series going!
