An Epic Page-Turning Adventure In Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift
You must remember the beyond epic action film Pacific Rim that released in 2013. Since then Legendary has released a graphic novel entitled, Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, and now it's time for more! Presented by director Guillermo del Toro and Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham, Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift brings us to an all-new story. Prepare to do battle with all-new Kaiju creatures in this thrilling continuation of the Pacific Rim universe. The series comes from writer Joshua Fialkov (The Bunker, I, Vampire, Doctor Who) and features artwork by Marcos Marz (Batman Confidential, Blackest Night: JSA).
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the first issue, and I must say, it definitely continues with the same powerful action theme that the movie had. Joshua's writing is thorough, complete with intense dialogue. I was particularly impressed by Marcos Marz art style. If you look at the panels I've posted below you'll be able to see the beautiful detail. I will warn you to prepare yourself for one heck of a cliffhanger at the end of the issue. This book is a page-turner! Obviously I don't want to spoil anything, so just trust me on this one. Be sure to pick up a copy of Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift this week.
