Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 12th June 2016 – DC Reborn

s-l1600 (2)

This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

And DC Comics has more titles at the top than ever before…  it looks like it will be a good June for the publisher.

  • 1. Flash Rebirth #1
  • 2. Detective Comics #934
  • 3. Darth Vader #21
  • 4. Wonder Woman Rebirth #1
  • 5. Action Comics #957
  • 6. Aquaman Rebirth #1
  • 7. All-New X-Men #10
  • 8. Star Wars Poe Dameron #3
  • 9. Civil War II Amazing Spider-Man #1
  • 10. Harley Quinn Gang Of Harleys #9

Thanks to the following retailers – and a special welcome to newcomer, Issues Needed Comics

And this is what they had to say,

DC's five Rebirth titles take the five top slots on our store's sales chart this week–and it's not even close. Marvel took the bottom five top ten positions, but the total copies sold for all five of those books don't add up to the number of copies of Flash Rebirth that we sold today. What is surprising is the lack of interest in Civil War II: neither of this week's Civil War II tie-in miniseries premieres even cracked our store's top ten, and one of them (Gods of War) sold fewer copies than Timely Comics Doctor Strange #1, a $3 reprint title! So far, Civil War II seems to epitomize the question "What if they held an event and nobody came?"

Strong interest in pre-Flashpoint Superman and renewed interest in pre-Flashpoint Green Arrow and Wonder Woman, all driven by Rebirth.

Easy week to rotate books…since i barely have anything left.Darth Vader took the top spot since it was the only book that i did not completely sell out of.If i have doubled my order on DC this week i still would have sold out and the Vader would have been #6 for the week. These just one-shots coming out from DC can't wait to see what the real #1's do starting next week since i have ordered huge on those.

Rebirth is really hitting the ground running

Back-issue movers are anything Watchmen and anything Flash.Fill the bin in the morning and see it empty at the end of the day….not a bad problem to have.

We are new store and we knew it would be a benefit for us to open our store at the same time Rebirth launch however we didn't expect how beneficial it would be. Last week's Rebirth actually beat any Marvel book that came out this week and customers are truly loving Rebirth. Lets hope DC can keep up this momentum.

Wow. Rebirth is off to a great start. Great week. Hoping for many more.

Well we sold out of every DC Rebirth title outside of Detective Comics. DC Rebirth has officially been outselling every Marvel title with the exception of one for us. We severely underestimate the appeal of this new relaunch. but people are liking it, and keep coming back for more!

DC Universe Rebirth is still a hot ticket item on the back issue market. Same goes for last week's Rebirth titles (if people still have them of course).
