Retailer comments:
Another week with no DC heavy hitters! Customers were complaining this week about having no Forever Evil or Zero Year tie in books. Inhumanity from Marvel did alright but was a hard sell to some customers. Heard, "Don't really care about the Inhumans." numerous times, but found that when I told them that it continued right where Infinity left off, lots of them tried it out. Let's hope it did the trick of hooking them into the world of the Inhumans!
Cryptozoic Man took off like crazy this week. After seeing it on Comic Book Men, people flocked to the shop for it and online sales of it took a heavy upswing. We were very happy we were smart enough to get on board with it in such a big way.
Venom showing up in Superior Spiderman has lead to more people checking out the title. Earth 2 with its Evan cover blew out of here. Star Wars the Lucas Draft still sells even though people are glad it wasn't the final script for the movie.
X factor 5 and 6 with the first appearance Apocalypse is in high demand thanks to the movie news. Wonder Woman back issues are seeing a sudden demand thanks to the news that she will be in the upcoming Superman Batman movie. With the holidays coming people have decided back issues would make a good gift which is unusual for us.
Inhumanity was the winner for sales this week. Good bridge between Infinity and the new Inhuman title next year. Amazing Spider-Man #700.1 was slower than expected, i think many people are getting tired of the money grabs from the different companies and stayed away from this book, will have to see how the other issues do in the weeks to come.
Two Image books from last week in this week's top 10, exciting stuff!
Pretty much anything that is connected to a movie project is moving. People trying to get these key issues before they get priced out with the high demand.
X-Factor #5 & #6 flew off the site once word of 'Apocalypse' in the X film got tweeted yesterday…
Lots of good books to sell this week. Inhumanity#1 is such a beautiful book and it's nice to see a new Spider-man story with Peter Parker in control but neither outsold Superior Spider-man #23.
