Canadian And Australian Comic Stores Close
It's not just American comic stores that are under strain. Canada and Australia are also feeling the bite.
Dragon Lady Comics of Toronto, a shop that has stood for over thirty-three years, fifteen years in its current location, is closing, blaming rent increases and slowing sales, at the very beginning of February.
And then Comics And Games Cafe In Albany, Australia is also closing and gets a TV report out of it.
One of the sadder but noticeable things about a store closure, is that its customers don't all just go to another store. Some do, sure, some find our sources such as online shopping, but a significant chunk… stop reading comics altogether.
