Comic Stores Close Across Florida – CGC's Vaults Built To Withstand Hurricane Conditions
CGC, the leading comic book grading service (and sponsor of Bleeding Cool) is based in Sarasota, Florida, right in the middle of Hurricane Irma right now. As well as concern for life and limb, they has been assuring customers about their plans for Hurricane Irma, as well as keeping employees safe. They have stated that their offices will be closed until Tuesday morning when they intend to reopen:
"CCG is housed in a secure, state-of-the-art facility that is built to withstand hurricane conditions. Collectibles will be secured in CCG's vaults, as always, and procedures are in place to ensure the safety and security of all collectibles in our care."
Branson, Florida's Read More Comcis store has some advice, too:
Plenty of comic stores have been making preparations, addressing the situation in a number of different ways. Including some who have the perfect excuse for a last-minute sale on Friday:
Good luck, everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
