DC Comics To Make DC SuperHero Girls Customisable For Retailers For Free Comic Book Day As Well

Image (2)We mentioned when they were announced that DC Comics may have made a mistake making the reissue of Suicide Squad #1 their Gold title for Free Comic Book Day. That's the title which all participating stores need to order 25 copies of, and gets extra promotion. And choosing this comic, even with the movie, rather than the preview of the DC SuperHero Girls graphic novel, a Silver title, which participating stores are not required to order.

DC also made Suicide Squad #1 their customisable comic, which stores can have their name and details physically attached to the comic for giveaway purposes outside the shop – in places like libraries, coffee shops or inserted into local press, with a minimum order of 5000 to qualify.

Well, enough retailers have spoken up, and DC Comics will now be doing the same to the DC SuperHero Girls preview for FCBD.

Again, retailers will have to order 5000 minimum to qualify. But this is the first time DC Comics has done such a thing for one of its Silver level Free Comic Book Day titles…
