WildCATS Ends With #12 – What's Up With WildStorm At DC Comics Now?

Spoilers...  but WildCATS ends with issue 12. That's it, no more. Final issue in November. Zealot is in Birds Of Prey. That's it.

Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers…  but WildCATS ends with issue 12. That's it, no more. The final issue in November. Zealot is in Birds Of Prey. That's it. No more Grifter or Midnighter & Apollo series/crossovers either. Gamorra is no longer in the Superman books. And today's Stormwatch story in The Brave And The Bold #6 ends on a very indeterminate note on the Skywatch satellite.

While in Unstoppable Doom Patrol #7, there is a minor mention, as the Candlestick Man crosses from one reality to another, using The Bleed introduced in Stormwatch and The Authority back in the day.

So what now? Well, WildStorm fans are pinning a lot on the upcoming Outsiders which seems to reflect the series Planetary and even includes a new version of the character The Drummer, with Tim Fox and Kate Kane taking on the roles previously played by Elijah Snow and Jakita Wagner.

But how much is this actually of Wildstorm, and how much a homage? Well, Bleeding Cool gets the word out of NYCC where this was discussed in the late night bars that, yes, the Outsiders will be a Wildstorm-focused book. It will actually feature Planetary, Century Babies and most importantly, The Carrier, the sentient home of the Authority, who will explicitly remember a variety of Authority adventures….
