Diamond UK Returns to Weekly New Comics in July

Since Diamond UK reopened they have been distributing new comics to comic stores every two weeks rather than every week. Bt as of July, that all changes. Just as in England the social distancing will be reducing from two metres to one week, the comic store distribution schedule will shrink from every two weeks to every one week. Here is the missive they sent out, also letting stores know whether they will be getting new comic on a Tuesday or Wednesday each week.

Everyone here at Diamond UK would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented, challenging, difficult past few months. We hope that as many of you as possible have managed to resume trading in some form or another and that those of you yet to re-open are prepared and looking forward to opening once more. We are now nearing as close to (NEW) normality as we could hope for and as such are pleased to announce that commencing the week of Wednesday 1st July we intend to once again start regular weekly deliveries. We are still experiencing delays and difficulties with our shipments/deliveries and with this in mind we cannot yet guarantee to make day early deliveries each week, what we can say is that each Monday afternoon we will be in a position to announce whether day early/Tuesday deliveries will be made or whether all Diamond UK product will have a Wednesday delivery / Wednesday immediate on-sale, whilst we appreciate that this isn't ideal please bear with us and we will endeavour to return to the same weekly service as soon as possible.

We will continue to offer our revised prompt pick service however our initial priority will be weekly NEW PRODUCT shipments so please understand that the usual next day service for prompt picks may at times not be available, re-orders will now fall back into their normal schedule and providing re-orders are placed by 12:30 pm Thursday they will be included in your next regular delivery.

Still no news on what will happen regarding DC and Diamond UK after Christmas, but we are keeping our ears open.
