FairSquare Comics, founded in 2019 by Fabrice Sapolsky, Kristal Adams, and Ethan Sapolsky and which recently was partially responsible for bringing back Valiant Entertainment from the brink, is rebranding as FairSquare Graphics, though keeping the original name for conventions and crowdfunding for now. "Changing our name is a natural evolution as we expand to new territories," said Fabrice Sapolsky, FairSquare publisher and editor-in-chief, in a statement. "We learned a lot in our first five years and felt the need to diversify, bringing underrepresented voices to new markets. These are exciting times. FairSquare Graphics is ready to show even more colors and we're inviting everyone to (re)discover how amazing independent diverse creators are."

  • Noir Is the New Black, remains their graphic novel best seller with over 7000 copies sold.

They are also announcing a new NSFW imprint, Horny Dolphin, which will debut this autumn with both original and translated titles focusing on immigrant and minority voices, the publisher said. The first Horny Dolphin series from the new imprint, Eat My Cape, written and illustrated by Flippers, will debut this autumn on Kickstarter.

They also have Manfra (French manga-style comics), Manhua (Chinese comics) spaces, with Spanish manga-style comics titles joining in 2025. No given category nickname for those… Spanga? Spainga? Espanga? Espangya maybe?

  • The Three Musketeers by Tchao Nejib,
  • Red Flower by Loui-i

Fabrice Sapolsky and Kristal Adams will be attending this year's American Library Association conference tomorrow in booth #119 in Artist's Alley. Why not pop by and say hi from all of us at Bleeding Cool?
