First Look at October's Powers of X #6, the Fall of Mutantkind
Things are always darkest before the Dawn of X, so as we await the big news at San Diego Comic-Con for the future of the X-Men books after the Hickboot, Marvel has revealed the cover and description for Powers of X #6, the finale of the series by Jonathan Hickman and R.B. Silva which promises to reveal "the inevitable truth," to conclude "Mutantkind's fall," and to "lay the groundwork of the X-Men's stories for years to come."
And on the cover, we see a woman standing atop the bodies of the X-Men. Who is she? What happened to the mutants? Did Matthew Rosenberg somehow get ahold of the script and kill them all off again?
Here's our theory: the woman is Martha, and she plays a big role in Xavier v. Magneto: Dawn of X-tice. Which means, of course, that Marvel plans to release the Snyder Cut of X-Men this Fall. Of course, that's wild speculation, so post your own theories and we'll see who's right.
Powers of X #6 hits stores in October.
