Forget Your 3D Covers In September. The Death Of Wolverine Has Weapon Etched Holo Foil!
In September, DC Comics are publishing forty-one one-shots based on the New 52 books, taking the characters and looking what they get up to in five years time. And giving every book a 3D cover with a 3D price to boot.
Well, Marvel clearly wanted some of that… and since they had a weekly series in September featuring the Death Of Wolverine, well it would be a shame not to.
But what the hell is "holo foil"? And can I use it to wrap a roasting chicken? And is "weapon etched" a new word for die cut?
Retailers will be seeing these in Vegas this week… anyone going?
To honor the untimely demise of Wolverine, the most iconic X-Men ever, Marvel is proud to present the all new, exclusively crafted, WEAPON ETCHED HOLO FOIL covers for the DEATH OF WOLVERINE #1-#4. Gorgeously rendered by blockbuster artist Steve McNiven – each WEAPON ETCHED HOLO FOIL wrapped issue of DEATH OF WOLVERINE will be a sight to behold!

In anticipation of these covers immense popularity and the high profile nature of the series, Marvel will have plenty of copies available for retailer orders to appease customer's demands! Attendees at Marvel's Diamond Retailer Summit presentation will receive a free cover preview.
