Free On Bleeding Cool, Heathen #1. The lesbian Viking comic by Natasha Alterici that has no problem with calling itself a lesbian viking comic in order to get a few more sales, is now getting a few more clicks instead. Here is the full first issue, as published by Vault Comics, for free. Just in time for the fifth issue which came out this Wednesday, a week earlier than planned.

Aydis is a viking, a warrior, an outcast, and a self-proclaimed heathen. Aydis is friend to the talking horse Saga, rescuer of the immortal Valkyrie Brynhild, and battler of demons and fantastic monsters. Aydis is a woman. Born into a time of warfare, suffering, and subjugation of women, she is on a mission to end the oppressive reign of the god-king Odin.

Natasha Alterici's smash hit, Heathen, continues! Once again Aydis finds herself alone. Now she must journey to the elusive place known as Heimdall, the living gateway to the land of the gods. To get there, she must brave the treacherous waters of the Northern Sea. But hiring a ship proves trickier than she imagined.
