H.E.R.B.I.E. Gets Slighted In Marvel's Top Ten Robots List
Yesterday, in an article about Artificial Intelligence, I referenced Isaac Asminov's 3 Rules of Robotics. Seems Robotics is on the minds of some folks lately as Marvel has put together their list of their Top 10 Robots in the Marvel Universe. It's a pretty interesting list that includes a few LMD's (Life Model Decoys)… which of course are popular right now because of their appearance on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. It's interesting that 3 different LMDs appear on the list and not just the singular LMD concept.
Some where obvious inclusions like Vision, Viv, Ultron and Jocasta. I was pleased to see the original Human Torch and Machine Man make the list and I was intrigued by the appearance of Danger as somehow I had missed the fact that the X-Men's Danger Room became sentient and joined the team.
Sadly though, H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot did not make the list. Seems like their might be a prejudice against non-humanoid looking robots.
