Comics Shops Still Unprepared For HOXPOX as Powers Of X #3 Hits $20 on Day Of Release

The Jonathan Hickman-led X-Men revival known as Dawn of X, HOXPOX, House Of X and Powers Of X, written by Jonathan Hickman, and drawn by Pepe Larazz, RB Silva and Marte Gracia, continues to outperform industry expectations. Five issues in, with the release of Powers Of X #3, the demand for copies continues to outstrip supply as Marvel commission multiple printings.

And Powers Of X #3 burned through all available copies and last night was selling copies of the standard cover on eBay for up to $20. though by this morning selling to around $15.

It still demonstrates that, as a whole, comic stores have been underestimating the demand for this series, maintaining and even putting on readers rather than the usual attrition of lost sales with subsequent issues.
