Joe King Vs. The World's Greatest Average Hero
George Paul Gatsis writes,
The elevator pitch, if you happen to be on a crazy fast up and down room the gives you motion sickness and makes you wonder WHY you didn't take the stairs in the first place, is an at large group of Misfits brought together to take on missions too trivial for REAL Space Detectives
In this JOE KING "episode": Ordering pizza and having it delivered while on a mission to save all of creation from the BEYOND, is always a challenge.
Wait WHAT!!?? You're kidding, right?
Nope, I'm serious. For the first time since 1998, a new JOE KING The World's Greatest Average Hero family friendly adventure is back in print from the lay back mind of George Peter Gatsis.
In a world riddled with anger and righteous revenge, JOE KING comic brings humour and critical analysis of what it takes to be a superhero, and more important WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE SURE you are there to accept the pizza delivery when it arrives.
A good tip is highly advisable. Especially when the TIMELY PIZZA DELIVERY SERVICE ventures into the battle zone for the potential said tip.
So, I have been wondering where is the humour in the world? We are saturated with so many decisive attitudes in our day to day life, it has become increasingly hard to just have a laugh.
For me, the laugh has always been in illustration, pulling from life around me and inserting it into a character or situation on the other side of the galaxy. Why the other side of the galaxy? Well, putting the situation close to home, becomes more of an autobiography than an ACTIONgraphy. Hmmmm, Is that even a word?
One thing is for sure. All these stories are TRUE. I just had to change the names to protect the innocent. I had to change the situation to prevent anyone from figuring out what and WHEN the event happened. And most important, I had to change the location, to prevent properties from loosing value.
So, do you need a laugh? Would you like to read about a group of misfits, struggling to be heroes and failing at common sense?
