She studied Fine Arts in Barcelona and, after graduating, worked within the Spanish publishing industry for publishers such as Random House. And now, it is Random House publishing her new graphic novel series.

Laia López wrote, "I am BEYOND THRILLED about these news! Some of you may already know my Forest Kids, well now it's time for you to know their story and join their adventures! My very first graphic novel set to release in 2027 @rhkidsgraphic Thank you so SO much to the best agent Britt, for helping me make this happen, and my amazing editor Alex!!! For hyping me up every time and for also helping me bring the Forest Kids to life!"

The expansion of children's graphic novels is fuelling all manner of publishers extending into the comics medium. Right now, it seems like an infinite market that is being tapped into, and creating longstanding comic book readers for decades to come. It is not for nothing that kids' graphic novels in bookstores are being referred to as the newsstand of the twenty-first century.
