Marvel To Release Free Guidebook In April To Help Decipher Impossible Reading Order Due To Constant Relaunches

Marvel's policy of relaunching and renumbering all of its comics roughly once every 12-18 months is great for boosting sales for the first issue of every comic before they sink back down lower than before, but it's a little bit rough for anyone actually attempting to buy and read these things. Ostensibly, Marvel claims these not-a-reboots offer fans a chance to jump onto new series without worrying about decades of continuity. In practice, however, it just ends up with potential new readers staring at six "Volume 1" trade paperbacks, unsure which one they're supposed to read first, and then giving up and buying an Image book.

Well, Marvel has heard your complaints, and they're addressing them, as revealed in the Marvel solicits earlier today. That's right, in April, Marvel will be sending out a reading guide to explain how you're supposed to read all the comics they've released during Marvel NOW!, All-New All-Different Marvel, Marvel NOW! Again, All-New All-Different Marvel NOW, Marvel NOW.1, Marvel Now: This Time It's Nowier, And All-Now Now-Different Marvel NOW 4: The Search For More Money.

And the best part! It's free! Retailers, you'll want to stock up on these to hand out to anyone you see having a panic attack in the Marvel graphic novel section.
