Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is writing and drawing a new graphic novel in his Lands Unknown Universe, Uri Tupka And The Devils from Dark Horse Comics in November 2026. Following 2025's Bram Stoker Award-nominated Bowling With Corpses and Other Strange Tales From Lands Unknown and this year's just-published Uri Tupka and the Gods, Mignola is already expanding the Lands Unknown Universe he's creating with cartoonist Ben Stenbeck for 2026, with a new folktale anthology exploring the origins of legends of this shared universe. Written and drawn by Mike Mignola, Uri Tupka And The Devils will feature colours by Dave Stewart and letters by Clem Robins.

"Uri has found the gods but he still has questions and so he's gone to look for the answers—In a nightmare castle full of devils!" Mignola adds, "See Uri change shape, tumble through his own inner workings and take a pretty savage beating. I put the poor guy through the wringer in this one and I feel a little bad about that, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and these "Lands Unknown'' are not all sunshine and flowers."

Uri Tupka and the Devils (Lands Unknown) – November 17, 2026
by Mike Mignola, Dave Stewart, Clem Robins
After his search for the ancient gods ended with answers—but more questions—theologian Uri Tupka travels further to discover the truth about the darkness before the world began, and what it means for mankind. Heretic and theologian Uri Tupka has learned of the gods and now must learn of the universe, and so he visits a Baron's library of books beyond even Uri's imagination. However night after night in the library brings not just new insight and clarity on the origins of the world, but threatens to consume Uri himself as his unquenchable search for understanding may put him directly in the path of danger. In this follow-up to Uri Tupka and the Gods and Bowling with Corpses, Mignola returns to Lands Unknown to both write and draw this original graphic novel that explores the origins of legends and how they can change us. Longtime Mignola collaborator, colorist Dave Stewart, joins this mythic tale.

Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown – March 31, 2026
by Mike Mignola, Dave Stewart, Clem Robins
Set in the same universe as his hit comics anthology Bowling with Corpses, Mignola returns to Lands Unknown and both writes and draws this new, original graphic novel that bursts with the fantastic, the folkloric, and even the frightening. Longtime Mignola collaborator Dave Stewart joins to bring color to this fanciful story. A wayward theologian travels across mysterious lands and goes up against mythic monsters, bandits, and more in pursuit of proof of the existence of the old gods. In this story of the search for gods in a world that feels abandoned by them, the titular hero travels a pilgrim road in his quest for answers. Along the way he encounters dragons, giants, devils, and a tomb of unspeakable horror, and learns not just the truth about the universe but the gravity of his own role in it.
