This San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Could Be The Most Valuable Power Rangers Comic To Date

Ahead of the show, Boom! Studios announced their Power Rangers show exclusives, which include four connecting covers by Dan Mora that combine to create a homage/ripoff of Jim Lee's famous X-Men #1 cover. They also announced that all four images would be available on one ultra-rare double gatefold cover. Each of the four individual covers will be sold for $20 each. The double gatefold would be sold for $100 each. We covered all of this ahead of the show.

What no one else had clocked was that the four individual covers were limited to 1,000 copies and more importantly, the double gatefold was limited to 250 copies. That makes the Go-Go Power Rangers #1 double gatefold the rarest Power Rangers convention exclusive ever. The only cover that is rarer is the ComicsPRO variant (limited to 150 copies), which has sold on eBay for $400-500 on a regular basis over the last 18 months.

Oh and on Friday, fans at Comic-Con will be able to get it signed by Mora and writer Ryan Parrott. At the end of the day starting at 5 p.m., for $50 they can also get it signed by Jason David Frank (the original Green Ranger).

Who will be the first to post a triple-signed copy on eBay? And how much will it fetch? You know, if Boom! wanted to send me a copy of such an item, I would be happy to test out the limits of the marketplace.
