Dan DiDio to Get Down With the Kids' Dialogue in Sideways #8
Jim Lee and Dan DiDio are no longer co-publishers of DC but publishers. Now Jim Lee has taken on Chief Creative Officer duties as well, as Geoff Johns… moves on.
But what about Dan? What else can he do? Aside from starring in Twisted Toyfare-style photo comic books in DC Nation?
Well, he's been co-writing Sideways, the New Age Of Heroes title created with Kenneth Rocafort a Spider-Man-like title with a young man dealing with a teleporting set of powers and the interest that brings, from friends, family, school, media, the city and the entire cosmos. He has been co-writing the comic with artist Kenneth Rocafort with Justin Jordan working with him on the dialogue.
He ducked out of #5 though with Robert Gill and Justin Jordan working with Rocafort instead.
Well, according to September solicitations, it looks like DiDio is now down with how all the cool kids speak and will be going it alone on Sideways, with sole writing credit…
SIDEWAYS #8
GUEST STARRING THE SEVEN SOLDIERS!
art and cover by KENNETH ROCAFORT
written by DAN DiDIO
When Sideways leads the Seven Soldiers into the Dark Multiverse to find the missing Manhattan Guardian, the whole trip goes sideways (zing!) when our hero gets separated from the group and becomes lost in this nightmarish realm. And just like any petulant teenager, Sideways won't stop and ask for directions, so now he's trapped in the land of Perrus, ruled by the Dark Beast and populated by weird Superman-esque creatures, like Porcupine Jimmy Olsen.
