Doctor Strange's Movie Origin – Tuesday Trending Topics
From the sounds of it, and presuming this is mostly true, many of the elements of Doc's origin that they're using for the film are from Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme #45 (1992) by Roy Thomas and Geof Isherwood. Of course, the core origin is in Strange Tales #115 (1963) by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee, initially expanded in 1968 for Doctor Strange #169 by Lee and Dan Adkins.

The Very Quotable Before Watchmen (UPDATE)
Barbara Kesel, one of the original editors of Watchmen once committed a personal act of sabotage against DC Comics over planned Watchmen prequels when they were first proposed in the nineties. She secretly leaked the news to Alan Moore, who phoned up then-DC Comics President Jenette Kahn and put a kibosh on it. Possibly by shouting "Kaaaaaaaaaahn!" down the line.

Here's their video description of some early scenes from the film's screenplay. This seems to come from a draft by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, and obviously, even if it's 100% accurate today, it simply won't be by the time it reaches the screen. Movie making doesn't work like that, much less at Marvel Studios.
