Gilligan's Island Is Becoming A Movie Starring Josh Gad
Cue all the puns about moving to a desert island just to avoid this movie, because that's all that's going through my head too. Deadline reports that not only is the terrible idea of Gilligan's Island becoming a movie a reality, but so is the fact that Josh Gad will be starring in it.
Gad is also writing it, along with Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez. There's no word on who he'll play, but Gilligan or The Skipper are probably the safest bets.
Movies made from class TV shows can certainly work (see: 21 Jump Street) but Gad has never made me laugh and I fear he won't be starting with Gilligan's Island.
