More Walking Dead Webisodes Are Coming For Us To Feast On

It's been a few months since we last saw the young trouble-magnet Carl, his father, Rick Grimes, and the other, still-human survivors in AMC's Walking Dead. But the network will wet voracious fan appetites with some new material, a couple of weeks in advance of the third season premiere.

According to USA Today, AMC will offer a mini-series of Walking Dead Webisodes from October 1st.

There will be four separate five-minute instalments. They were directed by Greg Nicotero, the special effects and makeup guru who not only created the "walkers," he also contributed effects to Breaking Bad and Deadwood, George Romero's Living Dead series and Sam Raimi's Evil Dead movies. More recently, he's also directed a handful of full-length Walking Dead episodes.

Among the new characters will be Chase, played by Josh Stewart, a young man who is trying to find his missing sister. The first installment, titled Cold Storage, features Chase and B.J., a storage facility employee played by Lost and Weeds co-star Daniel Roebuck.
