Seven Points About Marvel's Point One

Marvel are bringing a lot of attention to bear for their Point One oneshot next month, as the Final Order Cut Off point for retailers approached next Monday. But why should the readers care? Well here's seven stabs…

Seven Points About Marvel's Point One

1. The framework of the comic focuses on the Watcher and what he see, now and in the future, possible or otherwise. This gives the comic the opportunity to show a number of segments of the upcoming Marvel universe. It is an in-story sneak peek at the Marvel universe to come, and using top drawer Marvel creators to do so. Brubaker, Bendis, Hickman, Loeb, McGuinness, Hitch, Lapham, Del Torres, the Dodsons, Fraction, all that….

2. The book sets up a new threat, one that is taking advantage of The Watcher's weakness to set up their new strength. Odds are this won't be the last we see them. Or not see them.

3. Nova Vs Terrax. And the return of something that's been teased in a very different comic indeed.

4. You'll find out exactly who Scarlet Spider is. And if you have won the Bleeding Cool competition!

5. Two brand new characters that bring to mind Northstar and Aurora with a both poignant and powerful backstory.

6. Bryan Hitch goes shaky cam.

7. When was the last time you read a Doctor  Strange solo story?

There are more of course. And I'm sure there will be more to come from Marvel. But if you dow ant a copy and you haven't told your retailer, maybe now would be a good time to have a word?
