The Plight Of The Imaginary Friend – Preview Neverboy #3 From Dark Horse
Neverboy is back for its 3rd issue on May 6th and bringing all the strangeness the book summons so well. The series is written by Shaun Simon, with art by Tyler Jenkins and cover art by Conor Nolan. In a story that splashes around on both sides of the divide between imagination and reality, with drugs as the bridge between them. Meanwhile the plot is getting more complex and emotional, focusing on choices that have to be made for Neverboy to stay "real". This is a bold, complex comic that says as much about human relationships as imagined realities.
I particularly love the cover art on this issue by Conor Nolan:
Dark Horse describe Issue #3 thus:
It's time for Neverboy to come clean, at least with his wife. He has the drugs to get his family back, but can he convince Rachel to stay after she discovers the truth? Julian Drag gets a taste of what lies beyond reality. Unfortunately, a single glimpse into another world might not satisfy a man on the brink. Secrets are revealed and doors opened as the rabbit hole widens . . .
