That Other Post-Apocalyptic Comic On Sale This Week.

That Other Post-Apocalyptic Comic On Sale This Week.

There's a lot of comic industry excitement for Prophet #21, published from Image Comics on Wednesday, a kind of William Burrough's The Time Machine, that people who want copies may need to stand outside the store before ot opens if they have any chance.

Some people will be disappointed. But maybe they shouldn't be. Because also on Wednesday, for a single dollar, they can pick up Oni Press' Wasteland #33 by Antony Johnston and Justin Greenwood, a new artist for a new story, and intended to be as new reader friendly as they can be, and starting a new monthly schedule for the book.

What's it about? Here's a synopsis to bring you up to speed.

100 years after the Big Wet, Earth has been left a broken, infertile world of rock and sand. The town of Providens is like many others on the post-Big Wet planet: small, mostly illiterate, and struggling for survival. When the town welcomes a stranger named Michael into its midst, will the quiet man lead them to a brave new world or shatter what little order still exists?

In fact, since it's only a dollar, why not buy a second copy to give to a friend? Or hand out to a stranger in th street? Or to leave on public transport? Who knows where it will lead?

Here's a preview of the comic in question.
