Whatever Happened To Phoenix Jones?

phoenixjones02

Remember Phoenix Jones? Seattle-based vigilante who dresses up in a super hero costume and took justice to the streets, including hand to hand combat, citizen's arrest and at one point taking a bullet? While others looked to hand out clothes to the homeless, Jones tackled thugs. He was arrested and unmasked by the media, but kept on being Phoenix Jones.

And then he stopped. But where did he go?

Well, in a reverse of Spider-Man's story, who began as  wrestler and became a superhero, Phoenix Jones has stepped back into the ring.

As Ben 'Flat Top' Fodor, since last year he has created a professional boxing career. His time as a superhero occurred during a break from the ring, but it may have explained his impressive physique on the streets. He told MMAWeekly.

"I think they have a hard time wrapping their heads around everything," he said. "I think they think I'm some kind of show. But they don't realize I have actual skills. I was a fighter who used his fighting skills to become a super hero and then went back to what he's good at."

"I always worried that someone was going to think that my fighting was to promote my Phoenix Jones work, or that my Phoenix Jones work was to promote my fighting, but it just got to a point where I felt I could do what I wanted," said Fodor.

Um…

Anyone know who won?
