Will Batman #36 Top The Charts In December, Though It Failed To In November, Thanks To Loot Crate?
Batman #36 came third in November's Diamond Comic Distributors charts, behind Amazing Spider-Man and All-New Captain America #1. ICV2 estimates its North American sales at 115,183.
Batman #37 will be out tomorrow. It will probably be at a similar level.
But CBR has revealed that December's Loot Crate will ship with an exclusive cover variant of Batman #36. Since DC Comics are obliged to sell such items though Diamond, it should appear in its numbers for December. And with an estimated quarter of a million subscribers, it is very possible that its numbers will be counted by Diamond for December's charts. And that Batman #36 will top December's charts, well ahead of Batman #37.
With Rocket Raccoon and Walking Dead featuring in previous crates, Loot Crate is continuing to create all sorts of anomalies in the marketplace, well ahead of Nerd Block on Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor and Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #1, which seems to add 40-50,000 copies to an issue.
December's Loot Crate will also come with an exclusive DC Funko Pop figure and, as the cover above shows, tree issues of the digital comic Batman: Arkham Unhinged.
